Ever wanted to know where your ancestors lived? I've created some maps to show you where all these places like Boesingfeld (now called Extertal), Bega, Schoetmar and so on are.
The origin of the Schwabedissen family is the Schwaghof near Salzuflen. The Schwaghof still exists today, but only one of the old buildings still exists, the granary tower that you can see as a drawing here.
The following maps are currently available:
On this map you can find Salzuflen in the middle of the map with the Schwaghof north of it. Other places are Schoetmar and Herford (the large city north-west from Salzuflen)
Boesingfeld is now called Extertal and marked by a small red flag. This is where my ancestors came from :-). On the map you can also find Detmold, Bega, Lage, Lemgo, Hillentrup, Almena, Salzuflen, Herford and Bad Oeynhausen.
Preussisch Oldendorf is marked by a red flag. You can also find Bad Oeynhausen, Hille and Minden on this map.
